Steelers Game / 1st Babysitter

 We got out the exercise play mat - she loves it!  She's a big kicker & loves waving her hands around, so this is perfect for her!

EK had her first babysitter last Thursday night.  A friend from work came over to watch her while we went out for an early anniversary dinner.  She did great - and so did mom & dad!

First Steelers Game!

 Ellie Kate had her Terrible Toddler Towel at the ready last night for her first Steelers game!  She has a Steelers onesie, but it's quite big for her at the moment.  Hopefully in the next month or two she'll grow into it!

 Out for our morning constitutional.  Gorgeous this morning, she likes taking in the sights of the neighborhood.

With the colic, we're trying any and all things that might soothe her outside of being carried in our arms 24/7.  We went to the kids consignment store in Franklin this weekend looking for a swing but they are all sooo big, and still relatively expensive - even used.  And if you've been to our house, you know we don't live in a palace and are limited on space - that's already somewhat consumed with baby gear!  Daddy spotted this brilliant device - it's a portable swing that holds the car seat!  And, it was cheap - bonus!  She's loving it so far...

1 Month Check-Up

Ellie Kate is now a healthy 11 lbs, 13 oz and 22 inches long!  She is well off the charts for height, weight and head circumference.  She is just fine, albeit colicky.  :(  We are managing the  daily challenges of colic with various tricks and things to soothe her, but overall - it could be worse!  She's becoming much more smiley and her very strong neck is starting to be less wobbly and she loooves to stretch her arms and legs - no more swaddling for her!  She's also awake a lot more in the day, which is really fun when she actually interacts a little bit.  She definitely is not a fan of tummy time, but we think that will change soon.

Next appointment at 2 months will not be so fun for any of us, it'll be vaccination time!

Aunt Heidi's Visit

 My best friend of 25+ years came all the way from Oregon to visit Ellie Kate, and I guess me & Chris too... (We're well aware that it's all about the baby now!)   :)

Birth Day!

Eleanor Katherine (Ellie Kate) Fleming was born on July 31, 2012 at 12:47pm!  She was 21 inches long and...10lbs, 9oz!  She tied her mommy for birth weight!  No wonder my hip hurt so bad the last 5 weeks of the pregnancy!  :)  Below are pictures from the big day...
