Welcome to my new blog!  I'll be detailing our soon-to-be-born daughter's life here, which will surely be an adventure!  I am scheduled for a c-section on Tuesday, 7/31/12 - as they estimated her at 10lbs, 2oz at 38 weeks!!!  My doctor looked at me and said, "That's an automatic c-section."  I said, "Thank God!"  I had a feeling that she would be big and when they estimated her at well over 8lbs at my 36 week appointment, I knew we were cooking a big one!  I just didn't think she'd try to beat her mommy - who was 10lbs, 9oz at birth!  :)

Of course, the estimates could be off either way - but still.  She's a big girl!  With the severe right hip pain I've been having and the fact I'm still not progressing at all - all of these factors sent us down the c-section route.  While it's not what I ultimately wanted, I can say that I'm not entirely sad that I get to skip pushing a giant baby out of me!  I'm more concerned about her health and mine - so we are totally at peace with this decision.

Stay tuned for more news next week...I don't know if people are more excited to see her, or learn her name - that we've kept secret for so long!  Until then, here's a picture from my 36 week ultrasound.
